Privacy Policy
Applies to the GameVerse Android application
(com.gameverse.gameverse).
Last updated: 19 August 2026 · Effective: 19 August 2026
The short version: You can play every game in GameVerse as a guest, forever, with no account and nothing collected beyond what our ads use to show and measure ads (a standard advertising ID). If you choose to sign in with Google — entirely optional, and only needed to redeem coins for an Amazon gift card — we collect your Google account name, email address and profile photo, and your coin/redemption history. See the full breakdown below.
1. Who we are
GameVerse is developed and published by GameVerse ("we", "us"). You can reach us at gameverse.support@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
What we collect depends entirely on how you use the app. If you only ever play as a guest, we collect nothing about you except what our advertising partner needs to show ads (below). If you choose to sign in, we collect the account and redemption data described here.
2.1 If you play as a guest (no sign-in)
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, calendar, photos, files or messages, and we do not access your location. No account, sign-up or login is required to play any game, earn rewards, unlock achievements or use the local leaderboard.
2.2 Advertising (applies to everyone, signed in or not)
GameVerse shows ads through Google AdMob (banner, interstitial, rewarded interstitial, app open and native ads). AdMob reads your device's advertising ID to serve and measure ads, which is standard behaviour for any app that shows ads. We don't otherwise track you, and we don't run any analytics or crash-reporting SDK. See Google's ad privacy information for how Google itself handles this data.
2.3 If you sign in with Google (optional)
Under Profile, you can optionally sign in with Google. This is never required to play — it unlocks one feature: redeeming coins you've earned. If you sign in, we collect:
- Your Google account name, email address and profile photo URL (via Firebase Authentication / Google Sign-In)
- Your coin balance and redemption/transaction history, synced to a server-side ledger so it can be redeemed and audited
- Your approximate country, detected server-side from your IP address — never GPS or precise location — used only to show the correct currency (India vs. international) for the gift card tiers
We do not collect payment card numbers, banking details, or any other payment identifier — redemption pays out only as an Amazon gift card, sent to the email address on your Google account after we manually verify the request.
2.4 Camera (in-store QR redemption)
The optional "Redeem in-store (scan QR)" feature uses your device's camera to read a store's QR code live. The camera feed is processed only to decode the code in front of it — no photo or video is ever saved, stored or transmitted.
3. Information stored on your device
To make the game work, GameVerse saves data in its own private storage area on your phone. For guest play, this information is never transmitted off your device. If you sign in, your coin balance and redemption history are additionally synced to our server (see section 2.3) — the table below still reflects data that stays local either way:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| High scores, game statistics and play time | So your progress and records persist between sessions |
| Reward points, daily streak and achievements | To run the in-app reward system |
| Saved game state (for example an unfinished 2048 board) | So you can resume a game where you left it |
| Settings such as theme, sound and your chosen display name | To remember your preferences |
| A randomly generated guest identifier | Created on your device on first launch to link your local progress together. It is a random value, contains nothing about you or your device, and is never transmitted |
Any display name or avatar you choose is a local label for your own profile screen. It is not sent anywhere and nobody else can see it.
4. Advertising
GameVerse shows ads through Google AdMob — banner ads on game screens, an interstitial ad after a game ends (with a cooldown so it doesn't show every round), a rewarded interstitial if you exit a game mid-play, an app-open ad on launch/resume, and one native ad card in the home games grid. AdMob reads your device's advertising ID to serve and measure these ads; this is standard practice for ad-supported apps and is covered by Google's own privacy practices — see Google's ad privacy information. If your device is offline, ads simply fail to load and are skipped; the app never blocks or shows an error for a missing ad.
5. Analytics and tracking
We use no analytics, attribution, A/B testing, or crash-reporting service. There is no such SDK in the app. We have no way of knowing which games you play or how long you play — the only usage data we can see is the coin/redemption ledger for accounts that sign in (section 2.3), and standard ad-serving data collected by AdMob itself.
6. Third parties
We work with a small number of third parties to provide the features above:
- Google AdMob — serves ads and reads the advertising ID described in section 4.
- Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions) — Google's backend platform. If you sign in, it stores your account info and coin/redemption ledger and runs the redemption logic described in section 2.3. All traffic to Firebase is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Google Sign-In — handles the optional sign-in flow itself; we never see or store your Google password.
- Google Play — if you installed GameVerse from the Play Store, Google processes the download, and may collect aggregate install and crash information under its own policies as the app distributor. That processing is between you and Google; it happens outside our app. See the Google Privacy Policy.
- Netlify — this website is hosted by Netlify, which records standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) when you visit these pages. That applies to the website only, never to the app.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the service providers above who need it to make the app's features work. This website loads no fonts, scripts, trackers or images from any external service, and it sets no cookies.
7. Children's privacy
GameVerse's game content is suitable for all ages and contains nothing unsuitable for children. The app itself isn't directed at children: signing in and redeeming rewards both require a Google account, and Google's own account policies already restrict who can hold and use a Google Account without a parent's involvement. Guest play (every game, with no sign-in) collects nothing beyond the standard advertising ID described in section 4. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country); if you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights and your data
Privacy laws such as the GDPR (Europe), the CCPA/CPRA (California) and India's DPDP Act give you rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data a company holds about you. If you've only ever played as a guest, we hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing to disclose, correct, export or delete.
If you've signed in with Google, we do hold your account details and redemption history as described in section 2.3. We don't yet have an in-app option to delete this data or your account yourself — to request access, correction, export or deletion of that data, email gameverse.support@gmail.com and we'll handle it manually. We're working on adding a self-serve option for this in the app.
You remain in full control of the data stored on your own device:
- Delete everything local: uninstall GameVerse. Android removes the app's private storage along with it. (This does not delete account data held on our server if you had signed in — see above.)
- Reset without uninstalling: Android Settings → Apps → GameVerse → Storage → Clear storage. This permanently erases your scores, rewards, achievements and settings stored on your device.
Deleted local progress cannot be recovered, since it isn't backed up anywhere. Your coin balance and redemption history, if you've signed in, live on our server independently of your device storage.
9. Data security
App data is stored in GameVerse's private application directory, which Android isolates from other apps. Note that a device which is rooted, or whose storage is otherwise unprotected, weakens the isolation Android provides — that is outside our control. Data we hold on our server (for signed-in users) is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections (Firebase Authentication, Firestore and Cloud Functions). Redemption requests generate an internal notification with the redemption details for manual review and fulfillment — that notification is sent to us, not to the user, and is used solely to process the payout.
10. Changes to this policy
If GameVerse ever adds a feature that changes how data is handled — for example online leaderboards, cloud save or crash reporting — we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date above before or alongside releasing that version, and update the Data safety declaration on Google Play to match. Material changes will be noted on this page.
